Acquired by Omni Group in May 2011, Chambar Sugar Mills was formerly known as Bachani Sugar Mills Ltd. Its proximity, just 14 km away from Tando Allayar Sugar Mills (Pvt.) Ltd., positions it advantageously within the sugar belt of Sindh.
A Strategic Acquisition and Modernization
The acquisition of the mill by Omni Group marked a turning point. A substantial upgrade in the processing equipment was undertaken, primarily sourcing from Heavy Mechanical Complex (HMC). This modernization included the installation of two Boiler Houses, a Power House, a Process House, and a Mill House. Equipment for the Power House was imported from Peter Brotherhood, England, while turbines and refining machines were sourced from Broad Bent Centrifugal Machines, England. This influx of modern technology has enabled Chambar Sugar Mills to achieve remarkable efficiency and productivity.
