4 Muslim women protesting in favor of Palestine in the US state of Arizona were arrested and their headscarves were forcibly removed.
According to the American news agency, a rally was recently held on the Arizona State University campus by students to express solidarity with Palestine. In the meantime, the police officers arrested 70 students while conducting an operation against the protestors.

Later, a video surfaced on social media in which policemen are removing the scarf of an arrested Muslim woman. In the video, police personnel can be seen tying the woman’s hand and removing the hijab.

After the video went viral, this action of the police has been strongly condemned by the American Muslim community. According to Muslim leaders, the Arizona State University Police Department is involved in the incident.
According to an Arizona State University spokesperson, it could not be confirmed whether university police were involved in the process. The incident is being further investigated.
